Ron Paul won another huge straw poll, but, again, this is largely being ignored or written off because Ron Paul‘s supporters are incredibly enthusiastic. Ron Paul came in first at 37%, Herman Cain came in at second with 23%, and Rick Santorum came in third at 16%. Notably, neither Rick Perry nor Mitt Romney polled well, to the chagrin of mainstream Republicans.

I’ve said it before, here and elsewhere, that I hate the media blackout of any candidates, especially when they perform well in polls. I don’t fault the “top tier” candidates though – this is definitely an issue with the media more broadly. Congrats, Mr. Paul.
